In November 2019, CSCU President Mark Ojakian launched the search for candidates for the position of Campus Chief Executive Officer (Campus CEO) at five of our community colleges: Capital Community College, Gateway Community College, Housatonic Community College, Manchester Community College and Middlesex Community College. A national search was conducted, per the Board of Regents hiring policy, to ensure that there was opportunity for all those interested to apply and for the college community to provide substantive feedback into who will be the next leader of their college. Dr. Tom Coley chaired the searches for the Shoreline-West region and Dr. Rob Steinmetz chaired the searches in the Capital-East region. In announcing the searches, President Ojakian set the timeline for hiring of the Campus CEOs by the end of May 2020.
Following a nationwide search, finalists have now been identified for each of the colleges, each of whom will be meeting, via remote participation, with campus leaders, community and foundation members, students, faculty, staff and members of the CSCU Search Committee and Campus Search Advisory Committees.
