Gail H. Williams
Gail Hill Williams, a Danbury resident, has more than 20 years of successful sales and training experience with Fortune 500 companies and Williams was appointed to the CSUS Board of Trustees in 1999 and was most recently reappointed in 2006.

She was previously strategic marketing manager for Océ North America in Trumbull, program manager of Global Sales Education for Oracle in Stamford, and held several positions at Sprint Business. In 1996, she founded Alegre’ Communications.

She was chosen as the Connecticut Business and Professional Women’s state “Young Careerist for 1995” and delivered a speech at the BPW National Conference with former Vice President Al Gore. Williams also served as the BPW Connecticut president in 2000-01 and is co-founder of the award-winning minority magazine, Cultural Connections.

Williams is an advisor to the American Council of Trustees and Alumni and member of The Ancell School CEO Forum and Ancell School Marketing Advisory Board. She is the past president of the Western Connecticut State University Alumni Association, co-founder of the Ancell School Alumni Organization, and past member of the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women Fifth Congressional District Delegate. She is a part-time instructor at Norwalk Community College and a former instructor for Learning Tree International.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration degree from Western’s Ancell School of Business, received the school’s “Distinguished Alumni Award” in 2007 and was named one of Western’s “100 Most Distinguished Alumni” in 2004.

Her current term ends June 30, 2011.
