Elizabeth S. Gagne

Elizabeth S. Gagne is chief administrative officer, Commercial Middle Market at Travelers, Inc., and was most recently the company’s vice president, Organizational Development, In² Enterprise. Gagne was first appointed to the CSUS Board of Trustees in 2005 and was most recently reappointed in 2007.

She was also vice president, Human Resources, Mass Mutual Financial Group; chief communications officer, Life & Annuity and vice president Communications and Internal Consulting, Lincoln Financial Group; and vice president, Human Resources, CIGNA Healthcare. Previously, she held various property casualty claim and human resources positions at CitiGroup/Travelers Corp.

Gagne holds a bachelor’s of business administration degree from the University of Hartford and completed the Executive Human Resources Program at the University of Michigan. Gagne is board chair of the American Red Cross Charter Oak Chapter, board president of the Connecticut Women’s Council and is a board member of the Aurora Foundation for Women and Girls, Inc. and CHI, Inc.

Her current term ends June 30, 2013.
