Terms and Conditions
As part of its continuing efforts to enhance the safety and security of the Connecticut State University System community, CSUS has established an emergency notification system in conjunction with MIR3, Inc. This system will permit the system office to distribute emergency information via telephone, e-mail, text message, and/or voice message.The CSUS System Office will employ the emergency notification system:
- In the event of an emergency which poses a substantial threat to the health and/or safety of staff;
- To alert staff of weather-related closings; and
- During routine testing in which any message sent will be identified as such.
- Provide accurate contact information using the emergency notification system data input page; and
- Update that information as necessary.
CSUS has arranged to provide the emergency notification system as part of a broader system for notifying members of the university communities of emergencies by which they may be affected. However, CSUS cannot and does not guarantee that any particular message will be received by every person who has provided contact information. In addition, while the emergency notification system is a method of enhanced communication, it is not intended to be part of a security system, and it is not a guarantee of safety.
The effectiveness of the emergency notification system depends upon individuals providing accurate and up-to-date personal contact information. Please be sure to update your information whenever your data changes (i.e., phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.), so that the emergency notification system will have the most current information with which to contact you.
By utilizing the MIR3 password you are to receive to subscribe to and enter contact data into the emergency notification system, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and accept the terms and conditions outlined above.
