Holly Howery

Holly Howery Holly Howery was appointed by Governor Malloy in 2018 to serve on the Board of Regents for Higher Education. She currently serves on the Board’s Human Resources & Administration Committee. Prior to her 2018 appointment to the Board, Holly was elected by the Student Advisory Committee (SAC) members to serve as Vice Chair and later that same year elected by the students to serve as Chair. In that capacity, she served as a student regent on the Board from April 2016 through November 2017. During that time, Holly served as a member of the Board’s Finance Committee, Academic and Student Affairs Committee, and on the Board’s Regents Search Committee during the presidential search for Central Connecticut State University.

Holly received her Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Organizational Leadership in December of 2017, from Charter Oak State College. She is continuing her education at Charter Oak seeking a Master’s degree in Organizational Effectiveness and Leadership.

Professionally, Holly is an Associate Director for a media conglomerate located in Connecticut. Holly has lived and worked in Connecticut for fourteen years and owns a home in Bristol. She has often commented that due to her firsthand experience, she appreciates the challenges experienced by so many of the CSCU students who pursue their higher educational goals while working full time.
