During National Entrepreneurship Week from February 16-23, several Connecticut Community Colleges are hosting activities for residents interested in pursuing entrepreneurship-related education. Seminars in business planning, marketing and small business finance — free and open to the public —will be offered on campuses across the state. Governor Dannel P. Malloy signed a proclamation also declaring February 16-23 as “Entrepreneurship Week” in the State of Connecticut (attached). In his proclamation, Governor Malloy emphasized that entrepreneurship is vital to Connecticut’s growth and prosperity and is crucial to the long-term growth of local communities, the state and nation.

The Connecticut State Colleges & Universities —four universities, 12 community colleges, and one fully online college —educate new entrepreneurs through both credit and non-credit programs and courses leading to certificates, associate’s and bachelor’s degrees.
