Collaborative Instructional Environment
About
In early 2013, Blackboard, Inc. will be discontinuing support for Vista, the learning management system (LMS) currently being used by the CSUS. As a result, the CSUS universities have begun the process of selecting a new LMS and supporting services. Members of the faculty, administration and technical staff have been tapped by the vice-presidents for academic affairs at each university to gather and provide requirements to an RFP committee.
The RFP committee will solicit responses from vendors based not only on software features, but also on the ability to support system-wide collaboration, the ability to integrate with our existing technical environment, and the cost and quality of support. It is expected that the new system will provide the students and faculty of the universities with an open and accommodating state-of-the-art instructional environment.
