Who Killed the Constitution?: The Fate of American Liberty from World War I to George W. Bush

by Kevin R.C. Gutzman
Western Connecticut State University

Kevin R.C. Gutzman, professor of history at Western Connecticut State University, co-authored Who Killed the Constitution?: The Fate of American Liberty from World War I to Barack Obama with Thomas Woods, a senior fellow of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. Together, they examine the ways in which the federal government has varied in its interpretations of the Constitution and cites 12 heralded government decisions that may have been technically unconstitutional. These range from discriminatory practices aimed at ending discrimination; to increases in wartime presidential powers. In this book, the authors bring the readers back to the beginning of fraudulent power by highlighting acts of anti-Americanism such as unjust federal spending, hushed statement signings and the restrictions imposed on amendments.
