Larry’s Kidney

by Daniel Asa Rose
Western Connecticut State University

In Larry’s Kidney, best-selling author Daniel Asa Rose introduces Larry Feldman, a black sheep in his family and a man in need of a new kidney. Tired of waiting in line behind the 74,000 other people on the transplant list in America, Larry decides to enlist his cousin’s help on a mission to China to purchase a black market kidney. On the way, because Larry’s not one to miss an opportunity, he also plans to pick up a mail order bride. Professor Rose credits the MFA professional writing program at Western Connecticut State University, where he is a Writer in Residence, for helping him overcome hurdles while writing.
