The CSU System has a fully integrated library automation system designed to give students and faculty access to the catalogs of the four university libraries 24 hours a day. The system also provides access to worldwide library collections through the Internet while giving Internet users access to CSUS libraries.

CONSULS is a shared library information system that operates from a dedicated computer at the Connecticut State University System (CSUS) office in Hartford, Connecticut.
The system was founded by the CSUS for shared use by the Central, Eastern, Southern, and Western Connecticut State University Libraries.
In May 1997, the State Library of Connecticut joined the CONSULS system. The Connecticut State Library collection includes materials on Connecticut history, government, genealogy, and a complete State and Federal Documents collection.
Currently there are more than 1.2 million bibliographic records describing 1.9 million volumes held in the collections of the CONSULS member libraries.
In addition to the catalog of the four CSUS libraries and the State Library of Connecticut, CONSULS also provides access to a number of indexing and abstracting services including:
