Chancellor’s Visit Schedule
Chancellor David Carter visits each of the universities within the Connecticut State University System, to hear suggestions as to how the System Office can be more supportive and provide greater assistance to the universities as they seek to fulfill their respective missions.
Ground rules
The ground rules are few, the door is open, and, as the Chancellor says, “this is the best part of the job – getting out and spending time with the people that are the heart and soul of this great university system.” In fact, the only limitations are that the Chancellor will not discuss matters or entertain questions dealing with contractual issues or matters within the jurisdiction of the university administration.
Schedule highlights
The Chancellor’s scheduled visit days at Central, Eastern, Southern and Western usually extend from mid-morning through early evening, with a mix of scheduled meetings and informal get-togethers, often including:
- Meeting with University President and individuals invited by the President
- Meeting with University Faculty Senate
- Lunch & conversation with students
- Conversation with students at the student center and/or visit through library
- Meeting with Alumni Association and/or University Foundation
- Meeting with Student Government
